SFSU New Science Building Site Walk with DPR Construction

On Friday, April 22nd, 2022, from 12pm - 1:30pm, we had a site walk on our new science building project that DPR Construction is working on located on SFSU Campus near our Science Building! We met up at DPR Trailer [see attached map below for the exact location]. Students were required to wear enclosed footwear, full pants, and wear no sleeveless attire. Safety vest, safety glasses, and hard hat was provided by DPR. Students signed in and out for this visit. Students were able to see the DPR engineers trailer with all prospects of the new science building project and the backend of how everything works. The DPR team gave us a presentation about the updates of the science building and then we proceeded to go to the site to see the status of the project including groundwork and the future plans for construction. We were able to see the shoring piles that were to be installed in the near future and the equipment. We were able to talk to integral engineers and workers that make this project possible. We hope to go to future site walks in order to see the updated construction process and different phases of the project!
